Padua’s Elena Rauhe Named Unanimous NCL MVP; 5 Bruins Receive All-Conference Honors

Padua Bruins senior guard Elena Rauhe was voted unanimous MVP of the North Coast League, joining senior teammates Alainna Conroy and Ali Medaglia as First Team All-Conference selections.

Rauhe led the conference in scoring, averaging 19.3 points per game, and helped the Bruins (18-4, 9-1) capture the North Coast League Title.

Senior Sarah Rapacz and sophomore Alex Pillin were named Second Team All-NCL, as all of Padua’s starting lineup was honored with first or second team selections.

The Bruins put together an outstanding regular season and defeated Buckeye, 68-36, in a sectional final, but the road only gets tougher from here.

Padua takes on Bay in a Division II district semifinal, Monday, Feb. 27 at 7:45 pm. The winner advances to play in the district final Thursday, Mar. 2.
