NFL Draft: Plenty of Solid QB’s in This Year’s Draft; Will the Browns Take One Early?

Christian Hackenberg

Christian Hackenberg – Pennsylvania State
21 years old, 6’ 4”, 230 lbs, 9” hands
Career (2013-2015): 693 comp, 1,235 att, 56 comp %, 8,457 pass yds, 48 pass TD, 31 int, -242 rush yds, 6 rush TD, 4.8 dash

Has issues with accuracy on all the throws, but under the right tutelage he could develop into a major play maker, but that is a big if when you are behind a veteran QB and can not get the reps in order to develop in un real time games. Could have been the result of major program changes and adversity and coaching changes.

He did mention in an interview that the coaching changes were a big part of why he was not as successful as he and everyone else involved in the program would like to be. All the measurable check out and if drafted into the right system and coaching staff. Not your day one starter, but like I said with most of the QBs, they all need to sit at least a year if you want to maximize all their potential.
