NFL Draft: Plenty of Solid QB’s in This Year’s Draft; Will the Browns Take One Early?

Paxton Lynch

Paxton Lynch – Memphis
22 years old, 6’ 7”, 244 lbs, 10+” hands
Career (2013-2015): 758 comp, 1,205 att, 63 comp %, 8,865 pas yds, 59 pass TD, 23 int, 687 rush yds, 17 rush TD, 4.8 dash

The tallest QB in this draft and he is also very good with his legs. Ok pocket presence. Good decision maker, but needs to improve on his accuracy. His accuracy could improve if he gets proper, mechanical training to shorten his wind up and release. Since he has long arms he has a long wind up and release.

Definitely improved as he developed under ead coach Justin Fuente. Went under the radar in highs school due to a knee injury. Broke on to the scene his senior year when he lead Memphis to victory over the SEC’s Ole Miss. Not a day one starter, and has tremendous upside if he can sit for a year or three and develop and leanr how to win in the NFL.
