NFL Draft: Plenty of Solid QB’s in This Year’s Draft; Will the Browns Take One Early?

wentz

Carson Wentz – North Dakota State
23 years old, 6’ 5”, 237 lbs, 10” hands
Career (2012-2015): 392 comp, 612 att, 64 comp %, 5,115 pass yds, 45 pass TD, 14 int, 1,028 rush yds, 13 rush TD, 4.7 dash

The athletic build for your prototypical QB, and was a stand out and a stud at the FCS level. Excelled in a pro style offense under center and knows when to use his legs when the play breaks down.

Needs to improve his throws on the run and has an OK arm. Can make all the throws but has inconsistent footwork in the pocket at times. Overall one of the more accurate QBs in the draft. Again, I would not plan to make him a day one starter, but could have a some success if he stays healthy and not mauled by todays NFL pass rushers. Most likely early to mid first round.
