NFL Draft: Plenty of Solid QB’s in This Year’s Draft; Will the Browns Take One Early?

Jared Goff

Jared Goff – California
21 years old, 6’ 4”, 215 lbs, 9” hands
Career (2013-2015): 977 comp, 1,568 att, 62 comp %, 12,195 pass yds, 96 pass TD, 30 int, -114 rush yards, 1 rush TD, 4.8 dash

Goff is considered the top QB prospect in this years draft class. 4 year starter at a respectable school, faced a lot of adversity with shaky offensive line play and a below average defense all four years. With all that said he still produced good numbers. Good arm.

Not the most mobile, but he has arguably the best pocket presence and can throw on the run better than most of the QBs in this class. However he can struggle with accuracy in chunks.

I would not say he is your day one starter out the gate, but some say he has that potential. I would prefer for him to sit behind a veteran for at least a year or two to develop muscle and accuracy. Calm demeanor and makes good decisions on the field. Early first round pick.
