Monsters Continue To Slide, Drop Fifth Straight To Manitoba 5-2

The Monsters had a chance on Saturday to get back to their winning ways, as they took on the Moose of Manitoba.

The game was started in the right way for Cleveland, as Oliver Bjorkstrand scored for the second time this year. Bjorkstrand is starting to find his stride, as he did Saturday with another goal since being sent down to Cleveland. After the Cleveland goal at the 7:44 mark of the period, the Moose took over with three straight goals. Glennie and Lemeiux were the goal scorers, as Glennie scored two of the three goals. After twenty minutes, the Moose led 3-1.

The second period started with a goal by Manitoba in the first five minutes of the period, as they looked to run away with the game. Ryan Craig stopped that, as he scored a power play goal at the 9:05 mark of the period to try and get the offense going. That was not the case, as the Moose scored once more to make it 5-2.

After a scoreless third period, the Monsters fell to a final score of 5-2. They have now lost five in a row, dropping to 3-7 on the young year.
