The lady Rockets beat Wapakoneta to advance to the state semifinals. Their first goal came 2 minutes into the match. Avery Alexy made a cross and Grace Frey lofted it over the keeper’s head to start the Rockets off.
Bay’s defense was unstoppable letting Wapakoneta have only 4 shots on goal. In the second half the lady Rockets put 3 more goals on the board. Abby Shuster took the ball to the end line and crossed it over to Abby Smith who knocked it in by the back post. Madison Wall hit a shot from about 22 yards out that rocketed past the keeper and into the back of the net.
Tenley Allerding had the last goal of the game for the lady Rockets. The lady Rockets will play Lake Catholic in the state semifinal on Tuesday November 6 at Nordonia High School at 7pm.
