The King is Back: Joey Chestnut Regains Crowns in Winning the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest

In one of the more odd 4th of July traditions, today was the annual Nathans Hot Dog Eating Contest in New York, and tons of fans were on hand to see a king regain his crown.

That king is none other than Joey Chestunt, who ate an incredible 70 hot dogs in 10 minutes to beat out former champion Matt Stonie to take back and crown.

Chestnut is now a 9-time champion of the contest, and it’s somewhat fate that he took home the win in what was the 100th annual event for Nathan’s.

Here’s a video leading up to the event, as well as some twitter react to the win for Chestnut.
