Kevin Love’s Late Fourth Quarter Foul Upgraded To Flagrant-1

Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love had his common foul from Tuesday’s Game One against Toronto upgraded to a flagrant-1 foul. The play took place within the final two minutes of the fourth quarter when Love secured a rebound with 1:11 left. Love tried fending off the Raptors and in the process connected an elbow to DeMar DeRozan’s face. It was initially ruled as an offensive foul and Toronto regained possession of the basketball.

Love only has that one flagrant foul in the 2018 postseason. If he were to pick up two more, he’d serve a one-game suspension. But Love is not known as a dirty player by any stretch, so this shouldn’t really lead to anything major for the Cavs.
