Jose’s Big Day Helps Indians Snap Skid in 13-6 Win over Tigers; Three Takeaways from the Victory

1. Have a Day Jose

One Indian who is not having any issues getting into the swing of things in 2017 is Jose Ramirez, who might still be celebrating his new contract showing how much faith the Tribe has in their budding star.

Saturday Ramirez had a monster day, putting up two homers, six runs batted in, and going 4-for-4 at the plate. He’s hitting .341 with a .610 slugging percentage and .404 on-base percentage through 11 games.

He’s played in all 11 games going 14-for-41. His three-run blast in the first inning got the Indians offense moving, and set the pace for a day in which the team put up 18 hits, 11 of which came against Tigers starter Justin Verlander.

His second homer in the 8th put the finishing touches on a huge day at the plate.
