Indians Reliever Tyler Clippard Shut Down 3-4 Weeks with Pectoral Injury

Indians relief pitcher Tyler Clippard is not going to be pitching anytime soon for the Tribe, as today the team announced he’s going to miss the next few weeks.

The team stated that Clippard, who left a March 9th game against Colorado with a pec injury, will miss the next three to four weeks due to the injury.

Clippard was trying to work his way back this week in Goodyear, and the team said that he felt continued discomfort during his throwing progression and will be shut down for a couple weeks.

This spring Clippard has thrown 2.2 innings, allowing a hit with a walk and three strikeouts as he works to try to make the roster as a part of the teams bullpen.
