Indians Pound Sale and Red Sox in 13-6 Win; Three Takeaways From the Victory

3.Bauer’s Outing

Indians starter Trevor Bauer pitched 5.1 innings, giving up seven hits, four runs and striking out eight. The only problem for Bauer was in the fourth inning when the Red Sox cut the lead to three.

In the inning, Zander Bogaerts tripled to score Mookie Betts and Rafael Devers. The next batter, Mitch Moreland singled to right for a RBI to further cut into the lead which the Indians had built against Sale.

The offense came through though, and Bauer improves his record to 13-8. Seven out of his last nine outings have been wins after Thursday’s game.
