Indians Pitcher Danny Salazar to Have Surgery

The Indians have been waiting and waiting for pitcher Danny Salazar to get back to form of the All-Star season he had, but now will have to wait even longer to see if he makes it back.

The team announced today Salazar will have exploratory surgery on his right shoulder, and for now there is no timetable for his return.

It’s another huge setback for the 28-year-old, who will will have the procedure on Monday.

Just two years ago Salazar was an All-Star, and it looked like one of the foundations of the teams’ rotation, but after a huge first half he had injury issues and last year went 5-6 with a 4.28 ERA.

Now making it back with the Indians and having an impact seems further away than ever.
