Indians Announce Organizational Promotions

Just a few days after the Baseball Winter Meetings came to a close, the Cleveland Indians announced three promotions and one new hire within the organization.

Eric Binder was promoted to Director of Baseball operations after spending the previous two seasons as the team’s Assistant Director of Player Development. Eric will now be in charge of all day-to-day functions and decision making within that department.

James Harris, the former Special Assistant for the Pittsburgh Pirates, will assume the role of Director of Player Development.

Paul Gillispie and Victor Wang also received promotions, taking over the roles of International Scouting Director and Pro Scouting Director respectively. Both have spent multiple years with the Indians organization.

Brandon is avid sports writer and play-by-play announcer with a degree in Sports Broadcasting. He spent three years as the PA announcer for Baldwin Wallace University Athletics. Brandon also formally completed an internship with ESPN Cleveland and "The Really Big Show", earning the nickname "La Machine" in the process.
