Five Takeaways from the Browns 30-9 Loss to the Steelers

Mike Pettine

5. If It Wasn’t Already – Pettine’s Job is On the Line

The Browns have six games left, and you would think if they don’t win at least 3-4 of the six Mike Pettine is going to get fired, and Ray Farmer’s job as GM should also very much be up for grabs. The organization continues to be a complete mess, and this year has gotten away with poor decisions when it comes to a number of factors – play calling, personnel, and stubborn decisions on both sides of the ball. Since the team was 7-4 last year after 11 games, they have gone 2-13. That’s not good, and heads have to roll because of it. Pettine and company might as well throw caution to the wind and make changes – it might be the only way he keeps his job past the 17th week of the season.
