An Early Look (and Guess) on What the Indians Do with Their 2018 Free Agents

Bryan Shaw – Free Agent

Like it or not, Shaw has been a huge reason that the Indians have won the AL Central the last two seasons, throwing a ton of innings out of the pen.

In five seasons with the Indians, a mark of 21-22, with a 3.11 ERA, logging 358.2 innings pitched. Not bad for the most hated Indians reliever in team history (don’t believe me, just look at twitter).

He’ll be 30 in November, but he’s got gas left in the tank, and it would continue to keep this pen in a good place with Shaw coming back.

He made $4.6 million last season, and here’s thinking it would take a solid deal to get him back in a Cleveland uniform. Maybe not the post popular decision to have him return, but a critical one.

Early Guess – The Indians push to get Shaw back, and they get it done with a deal that secures his services for three seasons at $14 million by the time it’s said and done.
