Details: Cavs Face New-Look Brooklyn Nets Big-Three TONIGHT

As seen on CLEsportsTalk.com

TONIGHT: The Cleveland Cavaliers are hosting the Brooklyn Nets for what should be an interesting game. Not only is former Cavs star point guard Kyrie Irving making a rare appearance back in The Land, but it’s also the first time that Brooklyn’s new “big three” will play together. Moreover, Irving is returning after an extended absence for personal reasons that cost him a lot of money due to not following Covid policies.

The addition of small former James Harden in a massive trade with four teams involved, including the Cavs, made the “big two” (Irving and SF Kevin Durant) a “big three.” Here are all the details of the trade:

• Brooklyn gets James Harden
• Houston gets Victor Oladipo, Dante Exum, and Rodions Kurucs; unprotected Brooklyn Nets first-round picks in 2022, 2024, and 2026; the 2022 Milwaukee Bucks first-round pick (via Cleveland); and unprotected Nets pick swaps in 2021, 2023, 2025, and 2027.
• Indiana gets Caris LeVert and a 2023 second-round pick from Houston.
• Cleveland gets Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince.

There’s a lot of pieces and parts to that deal…

Now, the game itself does not have too much significance. The Cavs are 6-7 and are 7th in the Eastern Conference whereas Brooklyn comes in 9-6 and two spots ahead of Cleveland in 5th place. However, it will be interesting to see how Brooklyn comes out and if the Wine & Gold are able to play with them. Certainly, the team will be tested on the defensive side of the ball.

Start time is 7 p.m.
