CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Cleveland Cavaliers are once again heading back to the Eastern Conference Finals. Cleveland completed their sweep of the Toronto Raptors at home on Monday night in a convincing 123-98 victory.
LeBron James led all scorers with 29 points but certainly had some help along the way. In fact, Monday’s Game 4 was the first time all postseason that the five starters put out on the floor all scored double-digits. The four other starters consisting of George Hill, Kevin Love, JR Smith, and Kyle Korver posted 65 points.
The game failed to feature much doubt in the outcome, as the Raptors only held one lead beside the opening minutes. That came in the second quarter when it was 38-36 in favor of the Raptors. After that point, Cleveland head coach Tyronn Lue called a timeout and it was smooth sailing from there.
The struggles of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan will be highlighted repeatedly as Toronto plans their offseason vacation. Neither guy was stellar in the series, continuing a trend that both would love to see go away sooner rather than later. DeRozan averaged just over sixteen points per contest while Lowry posted 14.2 points on average in the series.
