Cavs Fall to Trail Blazers 102-86

The Cleveland Cavaliers look like a team that just wants to get this six-game road trip over with.

It’d be easy to blame Wednesday night’s loss on the fact that the Cavs were delayed en route to Portland from Utah because of a snowstorm that has put Oregon into a State of Emergency.

The Cavs were playing the second night of a back-to-back and their fourth game since Friday.

The team arrived in Portland around 4 am PT.

However, the Trail Blazers had an even worse set of circumstances.

The Blazers flew from Los Angeles to Seattle and then had to take a bus from Seattle to Portland.

They arrived in their hometown at 2 pm PT, but couldn’t even stop at their own houses before the game because of weather conditions, which included upwards of two feet of snow.

Neither situation was ideal, but the Blazers played like the team who wanted the win more and defeated the Cavs 102-86.

Allen Crabbe scored 24 points on 9-of-11 shooting and C.J. McCollum scored a game-high 27.

LeBron James finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists, passing Tim Hardaway to move into 15th all-time in assists.

Kyle Korver shot 1-for-5, scoring two points in his second game as a Cavalier.

After an uncomfortable 24 hours for both teams, the Blazers at least get to return to their own beds, while Cleveland has two more games on the West Coast trip, which makes its last stop in Oakland on Monday night.

The Cavs (28-10) are off until Friday night in Sacramento (16-22), where they’ll look to end a two-game skid.
