Cavs Fall 118-113 in Final Minute of Game 3; Three Takeaways

2. Three-Pointers

The Splash Brothers made their presence felt in Game 3.

The Warriors hit 16 of 33 shots from downtown tonight, nine of which came in the first quarter alone.

Steph Curry finished the night going 5-of-9 from deep with 26 points, while Klay Thompson went 6-of-11 from deep in a 30-point performance.

The Cavs shot just 12-of-44 from the three-point line as a team, with four threes coming from James and five coming from J.R. Smith.

If the Cavs could have finished a few more of those shots, (or recognized sooner that they weren’t falling, and opted to attack the paint) the late game miscalculations may have been a non-factor.
