3. JR Goes Cold In The Second Half- As mentioned above, JR Smith has been out of sync on the basketball court this season so far. Smith started the year off the bench and was moved back to his starting role just three games into the season after Dwyane Wade’s difficulties early on adjusting to his new team. Unfortunately for the Cavs, Smith appears to be in a bad funk as of late, as he can’t buy a basket.
10, 7, 2, 3, 2, 3, 11, 6. Those are the point totals for Smith this season. They haven’t been pretty and they for sure haven’t been productive.
Smith is dealing with a lot of national criticism for his play and until he finds his groove, he and the Cavs will continue to hear it from the national media.
