Andrew Miller could be activated as early as Friday

MILWAUKEE– Indians reliever Andrew Miller could be activated from the 10-day disabled list as soon as Friday, according to game notes provided by the club on Wednesday.

Miller threw off the mound with batters standing in on Tuesday as he continues to work his way back from a left hamstring strain. He has been on the disabled list since April 26 when he suffered the injury against the Seattle Mariners.

The Tribe has an off-day on Thursday, and Miller is expected to receive a strength test. Pending the results of that, he could be activated for the team’s home game on Friday against the Kansas City Royals. The Tribe bullpen has struggled without Miller at their disposal, and coming into Wednesday afternoon’s contest against the Brewers, the Tribe was on a season-worst four-game losing streak.
