He won’t participate in any of the drills at the combine as he recovers from the knee injury he suffered in the Fiesta Bowl. His medical card is really the only thing affecting Jaylon Smith this week and it’s crucial. Going into the bowl season, he was regarded as a possible top five pick. Now after suffering that horrible knee injury, there are questions on how much damage was done and how much time he will miss. The Combine will give teams their first chance to see where he is in rehabbing from it. If he checks out well, he can still probably go top fifteen. If teams have concerns he will likely drop to the bottom half of the first round.
