Here’s a great battle among two of the top non-power five schools. Both of these teams have been ranked in the top 25 throughout the season. Toledo had a disappointing finish losing to Western Michigan to miss a trip to the MAC Championship game. They pulled one of the biggest upsets of the year week two, going to Arkansas and upsetting the number 18 Razorbacks 16-12. This is the first game for Coach Candle and will look to the veteran defensive front and strong running game from Terry Swanson and Kareem Hunt to take them to victory. The Owls looked to be prime contenders until their close loss to Notre Dame. The biggest win for them was over Paxton Lynch and Memphis. The Owls are led by Senior LB Tyler Matakevich. This may not be a high scoring game, but definitely should be a good one between two teams that could have been able to take down a power five school if they had the chance.
