5 Underrated Bowl Games Worth Watching This Holiday Season

With the upcoming bowl season, everyone is focused on the four team playoff and impending National Championship game. Then there are also other high profile games like the Fiesta and Rose Bowl or other bowl games featuring the power five schools. At the same time, there are a lot of quality games featuring teams that nobody has had an opportunity to watch all season. Let’s look at some of our picks for the best games that fit this role.

New Orleans Bowl
December 19 9 PM
Arkansas State (9-3) vs. Louisiana Tech
This is a very regional game with two teams from the South meeting in New Orleans in what should be a great game. All but one of the losses between the two teams has come to bowl teams. Arkansas State has losses to USC, Missouri, and Toledo. Louisiana Tech lost to Western Kentucky, Kansas State, Mississippi State, and Southern Mississippi. When you look at all the wins, every one of them except for two from Louisiana Tech has come by double digits. Arkansas State has dominated the Sun Belt going undefeated in conference play. Louisiana Tech comes in 6-2 against a much underrated Conference USA. This one should be a close but higher scoring game between two great teams that nobody has probably seen before.
