5 Observations From the Early Start of NFL Free Agency

2.) Same Old Browns

I really hope the Browns know what they are doing. I pretty much wrote all my thoughts in my other article. Go check that out so I don’t have to rerant about the Browns messing up again because it’s already painful enough. In case you haven’t been paying attention, the team has not cut Dwayne Bowe or Johnny Manziel and has let four of its top eight most valuable players walk in free agency: Tashaun Gipson (Jaguars), Alex Mack (Falcons), Mitchell Schwartz (Chiefs), and Travis Benjamin (Chargers). In order to replace these guys on the already worst second team in football, the Browns biggest move so far has been to resign special teamer Tank Carder. The Browns are doomed to not protect and have no weapons for Goff or Wentz whoever they select on their way to the top pick next year when they can select a LT number one overall as they trade away Joe Thomas for more draft picks to be wasted on busts.
