Baron Cup III – Bay Moves On with 5-1 Win Over CVCA

BROOKLYN, OHIO – It’s been a while since Bay has had a chance to play in the Baron Cup, let alone win a game.

This season, not only are the #6 seed Rockets playing in the Cup, they picked up a big win against the #3 seeded CVCA, 5-1.

“We really came out and attacked the entire game,” Bay coach Kevin Kittrick said.

Bay was the aggressor from the start, continuously attacking and keeping CVCA on their heals.

Jared Guadino got the Rockets on the board first, scoring on a goal from center ice with 6:29 remaining in the first period.

It was assisted by Liam Hanna who had two assist in the game.

CVCA responded just over a minute later with a goal of their own, this one by Josh Polanski to tie the game at one each.

Guadino score another goal for Bay at the 2:20 mark in the first period to give Bay a 2-1 lead that they wouldn’t relinquish.

Guadino assisted on the lone goal of the second period as Bay’s Chris Eifert scored with under two minutes remaining.

The Rockets blew the game open in the third period with two goals in the first four minutes.

Guadino scored another to give himself a hat trick and Will Kenney got into the action with a goal as well.

Bay moves on to face #7 Aurora on Saturday at 3pm.
