George “The Animal” Steele Passes Away at 79 Years Old

On Friday morning WWE sent out the tweet below

George “The Animal” Steele last appeared in WWE on a special RAW episode called “Old School RAW” during a match between Kofi Kingston and David Otunga.

He passed away in hospice care during the night of February 16.

Steele is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame (Class of 1995)
