Rays Win Weekend Series Over Indians with 6-4 Sunday Victory; Three Takeaways

2. Indians Offense Struggling

Since the Indians most recent off day (Monday August 27th, 2018), the Tribe has scored no more than four runs except for one game.

That game was first game back from the off day when they scored eight runs against the Twins.

The Indians had a chance to get back into the game in the eighth inning, but scored one run off a Jose Ramirez single to right field. First baseman Yonder Alonso would ground into an inning-ending double-play after that.

The team did rally for a couple in the 9th, but with Jason Kipnis at the plate with the game-tying run, he struck out to end the game.
