1. Recapping Game 2

On Tuesday night, the Tribe suffered a 9-8 loss after another bullpen implosion. The Indians led 8-3 entering the bottom of the sixth, but a five-run seventh inning for the Tigers at the hands of Tribe hurlers Dan Otero and Andrew Miller proved to be their undoing.

2. Pitching preview

Trevor Bauer is looking for a little bit of a bounce-back game against the Tigers. In his last start against the Royals, Bauer gave up 11 hits and five runs (four earned) through just four and two-thirds innings. The Tribe went on to lose the game 10-9.

Carpenter is making his way up from Toledo to pitch in his second start this year for the Tigers.

3. In need of something, anything

As the Indians continue to try and work out all their kinks, particularly in the bullpen, getting swept by the Tigers is the last thing they need. After this series, they will head to Houston to take on the defending World Series champion Astros, and a win against Detroit will be good, at the very least, for team morale.
