Preview: Clevinger Takes the Mound as Indians and Royals Tangle in Kansas City

2. Kennedy Looking to End the Year on a High Note

The Indians saw Royals Friday starter Ian Kennedy back on April 7th, which was the second home game of the year at Progressive Field. Kennedy was great that day, albeit it was about 35 degrees, as he went six innings of shutout ball, allowing just four hits in an eventual 1-0 Kansas City win.

He’s not had a lot of bright moments in 2018, but that was probably his best, though he did look strong in his last outing against the Twins, throwing seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits in a Royals 3-2 win.

Let’s see how much he’s changed since April 7th, and if the Indians can make sure they don’t sleep walk on offense like last night.
