Players To Love And Hate In Week 3 Of Fantasy Football

Andy Dalton

Hates:

QB Andy Dalton CIN $7,500
There is not a lot of obvious start QBs that have a tough matchup that automatically make you want to sit them. Somebody has to go here so Dalton will be the guy. Denver’s defense held both Cam Newton and Andrew Luck to under 200 yards so best of luck to you Andy Dalton.

RB Matt Forte NYJ $7,500
Eventually the Chiefs defense is going to play like they were one of the best defenses last year. Forte is getting older and while he has had the best start of any RB arguably, the cool off point is coming. Arrowhead is a tough stadium to play and the Chiefs defense is better than the level they have been playing. He’s made his money from a lot of carries and touchdowns. I don’t think he will get that same magnitude.

RB Ryan Matthews PHI $6,600
The Steelers are allowing the second fewest points against the run this year and Matthews is not getting the amount of carries I thought he would with Murray gone. It’s a pretty open competition in Philly and the nine rushes he got last week won’t cut it.

RB Carlos Hyde SF $6,100
Hyde has more talent than his price tag shows but it is another week with another tough matchup for him. Going to Seattle is no easy task and Seattle’s defense has still been solid despite the offense not showing up. Hyde only had 33 yards last week.

RB Jerick McKinnon MIN $5,300
The Vikings have had a lot of injuries to try and overcome this season. McKinnon is cheap so people may go for him since he is starting. We still need to see how the time share between him and Asiata will work out but going up against the Panthers in the first start may not be the best one to test the fire.

WR AJ Green CIN $8,300

You can tell I’m totally against the Bengals from a fantasy standpoint although I still think they can win the game. Green was shut down last week by the weather after being the best receiver week one. Denver holding QBs to under 200 yards means Green might be under 50 yards.

WR Kelvin Benjamin CAR $7,800
Cam Newton did not do great against a good defense when he faced Denver week one. The Vikings are now 2-0 despite not scoring an offensive touchdown in one of those games because the defense has been superb. With Stewart doubtful, the lack of a running game may keep away the threat of a big play from Benjamin.

WR Sammy Watkins BUF $6,900
A banged up Sammy Watkins who has not done anything all season going up against Patrick Peterson is a lose-lose situation. There is nothing to like about his matchup this week.
