Players To Love And Hate In Week 3 Of Fantasy Football

Carson Palmer

Loves:

QB Carson Palmer ARI $8,200
The Bills almost allowed three 100 yard receivers last week against the Jets. The Cardinals have a better QB and better WRs. While I don’t think they will hit that mark Sunday Palmer can still put up big numbers like he usually does. The offense might be back in their groove after scoring 40 against Tampa.

QB Philip Rivers SD $8,000
The Chargers offensive players are pretty safe bets this week looking at how bad the Colts defense has been last season and so far this year. The injuries are abundant on both sides but Rivers has still managed to do well without people. He would have even more if Gordon didn’t get most of the TDs.

RB Melvin Gordon SD $7,100
Gordon has three TDs in just two games so there is no sophomore slump for him after a forgettable rookie season. Woodhead is now out of the picture so Gordon should see more snaps instead of being in a limited run only option for the team.

RB Jeremy Langford CHI $6,500
With Culter doubtful for Sunday’s game, a backup QB means more carries for the RB, especially against a Dallas team that likes to control the time of possession. Ka’Deem Carrey is also doubtful so the options in the Bears backfield are limited this week.

RB Charles Sims TB $6,300
Sims is more of a value guy with Doug Martin expecting to miss three weeks. The Rams have a good defensive line so it isn’t a glorious matchup by any means but Sims has been reliable for Tampa. He is mostly a pass catching back but he will see more carries now being the guy.

WR Larry Fitzgerald ARI $7,600
I’m betting on San Diego and Arizona to have good weeks on offense. Fitzgerald has been a safe bet since last season after it might have looked like he was due for a decline. Notching over 15 points in both games this year, Fitzgerald gets an easier task against Buffalo.

WR Jarvis Landry MIA $7,000
Landry continues to get targets like it is going out of business. He had 13 passes come his way last week and caught 10 of them. Joe Haden is listed as questionable with a groin injury and whether he plays or not he won’t be 100%. Landry may see double digit targets and catches for another week.

WR Sterling Shepard NYG $6,500
Josh Norman is set to follow Odell Beckham around all day leaving Shepard to get the number or two corner on him. He’s turned in two double digit scores in his rookie start and if Norman can do his job Mannning will need to look at Shepard frequently.

WR Stefon Diggs MIN $6,400
Minnesota is another team running out of bodies on offense. They are now down their starting QB, RB, and LT. Last week was the Bradford to Diggs show and that is about the only thing that can save them from Carolina on offense. The young corners may have trouble guarding him and Bradford will look for his number one target as he tries to settle into that offense after getting a late start.
