Players To Love And Hate In Week 2 Of Fantasy Football

Marvin Jones

Loves:

QB Matt Stafford DET $7,800
Matt Stafford looked good again last week as the Lions scored a ton on the Colts. The Titans are actually a solid team against the run and with the Lions subpar RBs, Stafford can be in for another big game airing it out against the Tennessee defense.

RB Ezekiel Elliott RB DAL $7,900
The Redskins have been one of the worst teams against the run for the last couple of years with the Browns. After he had a mediocre first game, I expect a breakout 100+ yard game from him as Dallas will rely on him a lot more after forcing Dak to try and do too much last week. Dallas learning from their mistakes can signal a breakthrough performance week two.

RB Justin Forsett BAL $6,600
Forsett is a little bit of a risk figuring he lost out on the carry total week one to West 12-10. In terms of rushing though Forsett was the better of the two and the Ravens can ride the hot hand against the Browns terrible run defense. If Forsett gets off to a good start, he can be fed a good day.

RB TJ Yeldon JAC $6,500
Chris Ivory has been ruled out after his unknown medical condition caused him to be hospitalized. San Diego remains another team that has struggled against the run game and with Yeldon as the only back this week he can exploit the carries for a value buy.

RB LeGarrette Blount NE $6,000
Blount may not be anything special but he gets touches, 22 to be exact in week one against a good Cardinals defense. Miami is not as good as the Cardinals and the Patriots will continue to pound the run game with him to help Garoppolo.

WR Kelvin Benjamin CAR $7,500
Benjamin had a strong performance in his first week back after missing a whole season catching six passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. The 49ers defense looked good against a really bad Rams offense but the cracks will show this week against Cam Newton. I expect an even bigger week two.

WR Willie Snead NO $7,200
Snead’s 172 yards and a touchdown were not good enough last week to make him the number one scoring WR on the team. Take away the 98 yard TD from Cooks and Snead was clearly the best player. In an expected shootout Snead is worth the value money over Cooks.

WR Marvin Jones DET $6,500
Jones got the most targets of the Detroit WRs week one. I mentioned that I love Stafford this week so stacking Jones would make a lot of sense. Tennessee is not a great team defensively and their stats were inflated by playing a Shaun Hill led Vikings last week.

WR Victor Cruz NYG $5,700
Going with Giants players is a smart move this week. Cruz is worth more than $5,700 with a matchup against the Saints.

TE Eric Ebron DET $5,500
As you can tell I am a fan of stacking the Giants, Saints, or Lions players this week. The reason the Saints didn’t make a lot on here is because they are obvious starts and I’m trying to avoid loving the obvious. Ebron had five catches and a TD last week. Only three TEs scored higher so he is a value buy week two.

DEF Jaguars $4,300
If you need a value defense I like Jacksonville this week. They looked pretty good against the Packers offense last week and the Chargers just lost Keenan Allen for the year. The injuries of the Chargers mounting can make the Jaguars an overlooked steal.
