How Our Picks for the Browns in the Draft Against Who They Actually Took Played Out

4.) 52nd Overall
Actual Pick: DeShone Kizer QB Notre Dame
My Pick: Alvin Kamara RB Tennessee

After going defense three times in a row, it was time to find the best player on the other side of the ball. Alvin Kamara would have been a great pick. With Crowell entering his restricted free agent season and Duke being the only other running back to get more than seven carries all season, the team needs a third back in case of injury and if Crowell leaves. Kamara has very little wear and tear form Tennessee and was considered a fringe first round back. He sets up a nice future in the Cleveland backfield.

5.) 65th Overall
Actual Pick: Larry Ogunjobi DT Charlotte
My Pick: Ahkello Witherspoon CB Colorado

Without any picks for a while, the Browns can’t keep going best player available and must add a corner. With all the talented corners going in this range and the lack of depth on the current roster, Witherspoon would be my guy. He is a big athletic corner at 6’3” and specializes in cover skills. He could compete with Taylor for a starting role on the outside.

6.) 126th Overall
Actual Pick: Howard Wilson CB Houston
My Pick: Ryan Switzer WR North Carolina

Cleveland fans dreaded watching Taylor Gabriel tear it up all year in Atlanta when they cut him to keep Andrew Hawkins who also got cut. The Browns aren’t left with any true slot receivers, and Switzer is one of the best at it. He has the ability to stop on a dime and play the role perfectly and is an excellent returner. He took five returns to the house his freshman year and the team could use some consistency there after using five different kick returners last year.
