How Our Picks for the Browns in the Draft Against Who They Actually Took Played Out

2.) 25th Overall
Actual Pick: Jabrill Peppers S Michigan
My Pick: Malik Hooker S Ohio State (12th Overall)

Normally I like going apples to apples with the same pick but because this pick was so high up and the compensation was a first next year I’m going to keep the Browns original spot. When it comes down to Peppers vs. Hooker I am going to take Hooker over Peppers and a first. I love Peppers but Hooker just seems to be one of those generational talents. The Browns now have a center fielder to build the rest of that defense around.

3.) 29th Overall
Actual Pick: David Njoku TE Miami FL
My Pick: Reuben Foster LB Alabama

This could have been a draft day miracle for the defense. The Browns come away with the top player and pass rusher, the top free ranging center field safety, and the top LB. There really isn’t anyone in particular to play inside at MLB in the new 4-3 but Foster would have been a nice fit. With Kirksey and Collins on either side, can you imagine what the defense would look like with this new trio?
