The battle of Cuyahoga County—named officially the “Cuyahoga Gold Bowl”—will be back at Don Shula Stadium.  Players and fans refer to it as playing for The Rock.” Featuring two ranked OAC team and longtime rivals, thewinner of this game will most likely clinch an at large bid into the NCAA DIII playoffs.  In their history, John Carroll and Baldwin Wallace have met 57 times. The Blue Streaks lead the all-time series 28-25-4, plus a 16-13 lead for the “Cuyahoga Gold Bowl.”

John Carroll will come with its powerhouse defense, allowing only 12.3 points per game; their 47 sacks lead all ofDIII (Mount Union’s 43 sacks comes in at number two in the nation).  On the other hand, Baldwin Wallace offense leads all NCAA Division III with a 0.563 third down conversion percentage.

This contest should be a hardnosed, old-fashioned NEO November football game.
