NFL Draft: The Browns Need One if not many Wide Receivers – Who SHOULD it Be?

Laquon Treadwell

Laquon Treadwell – OLE MISS

20 years old, 6’ 2”, 220 lbs, 34 in. arm length, 34 in. vertical, 4.6 dash,

Career (2013-2015): 202 receptions for 2,393 yds and 21 rec TDs, 12 avg

2015 Ranked 1st in SEC in receiving yards and touchdowns (1153, 11).  Clearly the size and length are not the issue. Prototypical body. Had a solid combine and workouts with the exception of the 40-yard dash. He also had a decent QB at Ole Miss in Jim Kelly’s nephew Chad Kelly who could be a top pick whenever he decides to leave school.

Treadwell could get mauled by corner backs who jam his routes and with lack of burst and speed he could turn out to have separation issues. However if he loses some pounds and develops leg strength he could develop that speed later.  Most likely will go in the first round but wouldn’t surprise me if he went early second round.
