Moon Picks UFC 206: Holloway vs. Pettis

UFC 206 is upon us tonight, as Max Holloway faces Anthony Pettis in a fight that was for the UFC Interim Featherweight Title. Due to Pettis missing weight, only Holloway can win the title. Nevertheless, Pettis can win a big fight and potentially fight Jose Aldo next. Below are my predictions for the UFC 206 main card starting tonight at 10pm.

Jordan Mein vs. Emil Meek- Meek is a very tough fighter, as Mein is returning for this fight. I think Meek will win this fight via unanimous decision.

Winner: Meek via Unanimous Decision

Tim Kennedy vs. Kelvin Gastelum- Kennedy is a veteran and will try to punish the younger Gastelum. Gastelum is a rising contender who is very impressive as of late. Gastelum was supposed to fight at the UFC 205 event but he missed weight at a Lightweight bout. He tries to get a win at Middleweight and get back on track. I think that Gastelum gets a big win here over the veteran.

Winner: Gastelum via split decision

Cub Swanson vs. Doo Ho Choi- Swanson has fallen off lately and he faces a young star on the rise in Choi. It could be bad for Swanson, as I think Choi handles his business.

Winner: Choi via first-round knockout

Donald Cerrone vs. Matt Brown- Brown has disrespected Cerrone numerous times this week. That’s bad news for Brown, as Cowboy is extremely dangerous at Welterweight. Cowboy will win this extremely convincingly, as Brown could be in trouble for most of the fight.

Winner: Donald Cerrone via third-round knockout

Max Holloway vs. Anthony Pettis- This is the biggest fight of Holloway’s career, and it appears Pettis truly doesn’t care. Pettis missing weight is a bad sign for his Featherweight career, as he is only fighting at 145 pounds for the second time. The health of Anthony Pettis is a concern for a five-round fight, and I think Holloway will disect him for all five rounds. I think Holloway sends a statement to Jose Aldo with a convincing win on the biggest night of his life.

Winner: Holloway via unanimous decision
