MLB Winter Meetings 2015: Angels with Interest in Free Agent OF Justin Upton

NASHVILLE – The market for free agent outfielder Justin Upton is heating up, and why not? He’s just 28 years old and is a guy that the last three seasons has hit 27, 29 and 26 homers and is a solid defensive player.

The latest rumor of a team that has shown interest in him is the Los Angeles Angels, who could use another dynamic player like him to go along with Mike Trout and help their already solid pitching staff.

Efren Navarro, Trout and Kole Calhoun are listed currently as the starting outfield for the Angels, so if they made a push for Upton he would fit in their outfield nicely.

The reports say that as of now ‘nothing happening’ between the two sides at the present, but that the Angels have been eyeing Upton. There’s also rumblings that the team may also be looking at free agent Jason Heyward.

The Giants are another team that is reported to have interest in Upton.
