LeBron James takes over as Cavs end road trip with win over Bulls; three takeaways

1. Heavy is the head that wears the crown

You already know the stat line, as King James earned his 70th career triple-double on Saturday night. It was just another night in the office, as he also moved up to 21st on the NBA’s all-time 3-point list, passing Mike Miller (1,590).

After Valentine tied the game in the fourth quarter with just over four minutes to go, James responded with two quick baskets and an alley-oop assist to Jeff Green to put the Cavs back up, 105-99.

With 1:41 remaining, the Bulls once again tied the game at 105, but Jordan Clarkson would convert a critical and-one 3-pointer to stretch the Cavs’ lead back out to four. After Clarkson’s clutch shot and free throw, and with 40 seconds remaining in the game, James hit a 14-foot jumper to put the Cavs up, 111-105.
