Indians Recall OF Tyler Naquin from AAA Columbus; Place OF Lonnie Chisenhall On Bereavement List

CLEVELAND, OH – The Indians today announced the following roster moves relative to the 2016 Major League roster:

Recalled OF TYLER NAQUIN from AAA Columbus.

Placed OF LONNIE CHISENHALL on the Bereavement List.

Naquin opened the season with Cleveland, hitting .315 (17-54) with 2 2B, 2 3B, 8 runs and 2 RBI in 22 games prior to his May 7 option to Columbus. He hit in all five games he appeared in for the Clippers, batting .318 (7-22) with 1 2B, 1 RBI and 2 runs scored prior to today’s recall.

Chisenhall has returned to his native North Carolina following a death in his immediate family. On the year he is batting .255 (13-51) with 2 2B, 1 3B and 3 RBI in 17 games. Lonnie can remain on the Bereavement List for a period of 3-to-7 days.
