Indians Michael Brantley to Start Rehab in Mahoning Valley Monday

CLEVELAND – The Indians look closer to getting Michael Brantley back, as today it was announced he will start rehab assignments Monday with the hopes of getting back to the Major League team soon.

Brantley, who has played in just 11 games with the Indians this season, will play five innings with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers tomorrow, and then will play in Lake County with the Captains on Wednesday.

From there he will move on to play with the AA Akron RubberDucks over the weekend, and it will be determined from there when he can move on to the Indians.

Brantley hit .231 with no homers and 7 RBI in the 11 games with the Indians before going back on the shelf.
