Indians get 10th straight win; three takeaways

1. First inning attack
The Indians did most of the damage in the first inning, scoring four runs against Detriot’s starter Jordan Zimmerman.

Things got started when Jose Ramirez tripled to right to score Bradley Zimmer, who also tripled in the previous at-bat.

The next batter, Edwin Encarnacion, singled for a RBI to make it 2-0. Finally, Abraham Almonte brought Encarnacion and Santana home thanks to his two-run single.

In the first inning, the Tribe also recorded six hits, and had 10 by the time the third inning was over. They ended the evening with 14 hits, and went 4-for-12 with runners in scoring position.
