Gomes and Kluber Lead Indians to Easy 11-2 Win Over Royals; Three Takeaways From the Win

1. Top of the Lineup

Since the move was made on Friday to move Jason Kipnis down and Michael Brantley up, the top of the Tribe lineup has been on fire, leading the way for the rest of the offense to benefit.

Over the 3 games against the Royals the top 3 in the lineup (Francisco Lindor, Brantley and Jose Ramirez) went 18-for-37 (.486) with 5 homers, 17 runs batted in, and 15 runs scored.

Yes the Tribe lost one of those three games, but it’s hard to find a better hitting threesome at any top of the lineup in baseball right now, and with the way these three are hitting it’s going to be fun to watch this offense continue to progress over the next few weeks.
