Cleveland State G Rob Edwards Named Horizon League Freshman of the Week

CLEVELAND – Cleveland State freshman guard Rob Edwards has been named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week for his performance in two CSU wins last week.

It is the second time this year that Edwards has earned the honor.

On Saturday, he scored 15 points and had three rebounds in CSU’s 67-65 win over Belmont. He hit 6-of-8 shots from the field in the win, including 3-of-4 from three-point range.

For the week, Edwards hit 8-of-14 field goal attempts and pulled down five rebounds, had three assists and two steals.

The Vikings are back in action on Wednesday (Dec. 23) when CSU hosts Bowling Green at 1:00 pm in the Wolstein Cente
