Cavs Survive Sloppy Second Half, Hold off Suns 120-116

The Cleveland Cavaliers let a 22-point lead slip away in Phoenix, but were able to finish strong down the stretch, holding off the Suns 120-116.

Cleveland’s Big Three delivered their usual brilliance, combining for 80 points, but lackadaisical defense and unforced turnovers allowed Phoenix to have a shot near the end.

LeBron James hit two big three-pointers late in the game and one of the unsung heroes was Iman Shumpert, who drained a three with 1:25 to play to push the lead to seven.

Phoenix played well in the second half, outscoring Cleveland 63-51, but in the end, the Cavs had the star players capable of closing it out to get the job done.

Eric Bledsoe scored 31 points and Devin Booker put up 28, leading a valiant comeback attempt and taking the game down to the wire.

Cleveland improves to 28-8 and travels to Utah (23-16) where Kyle Korver will likely make his Cavaliers debut on Tuesday night at 9 pm ET.
