Bauer Rocked, Tribe Bats Mostly Silent in 7-6 Loss to Tigers: Three Takeaways From the Loss

3. Trevor Bauer gets rocked

Once again it wasn’t a good night for starting pitchers as the Tigers enjoyed hitting off Trevor Bauer tonight. Trevor completed five-plus innings, giving up six runs on eight hits and striking out six.

It all started in the second inning when Jose Iglesias hit an infield single to score Justin Upton.

Then the Tigers extended their lead as Miguel Cabrera hit a three-run homer to right to give Detroit a 4-0 advantage.

The Tigers were not done with Trevor just yet as Alex Avila, who has had success in his career against Bauer, jacked a two-run homer to left field to make it 6-0, ending the night for the Tribe starter.
