Bauer Power Paces the Indians in Second Straight Over Yankees 7-2; Three Takeaways From the Win

1. Bauer Was Dealing

Whatever Trevor Bauer has been doing in his last three outings, it’s working.

The right-hander didn’t think about his career numbers against the New York Yankees, as he went seven strong innings, giving up seven hits with just one run and striking out seven.

With the win, Bauer improves to 10-8 on the season.

The highlight of the night was in the fifth inning by striking out Gary Sanchez leaving the bases loaded, which was a key moment in the five-run win.

The inning could have been a lot worse if it wasn’t for Giovanny Urshela’s game-saving play at third, however, Bauer escaped the jam allowing only one run on three hits.
