It’s not the most impressive bench, but it gives a lot more on both ends of the floor than what the 2016-17 Cavs received.
Assuming the Cavs trade Channing Frye and Iman Shumpert, we’d have to see what they get back in return, but at the very least those trades would create TPE’s to give the Cavs a better chance of trading for a difference maker before the deadline.
Before the 2018 Trade Deadline, add Carmelo to that roster (probably would have to cross Thompson off the list) and the gap between Cleveland and Golden State becomes significantly smaller.
